B4U-ACT is supporting a new study led by Alina Göpel, a masters student at Technical University Chemnitz in Germany. The study aims to better understand the reasons why minor-attracted people may drop out of therapy. People who meet the following criteria are invited to participate:

• Are at least 18 years of age
• Are sexually attracted to children or early adolescents
• Have been in therapy because of this attraction, but decided to discontinue this therapy

People who fit this description are invited to participate by completing the following 20 minute survey:

This study is linked to the “Kein Täter werden” project, which means “Don’t become an offender” in German, but it is not hosted by “Kein Täter werden”. The three main researchers behind this study (Alina Göpel, Sophie Helene Lux, and Fabian Brock) are not part of “Kein Täter werden,” but are tasked with evaluating it.

B4U-ACT is supporting a new study from researchers at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom. The research project aims to understand how people who are sexually attracted to children view sexual satisfaction and fulfillment.

People age 18+ who are attracted to children are invited to participate via an anonymous, audio-only interview. Interested potential participants can contact the lead researcher at the following email address:

This project hopes to explore how people with a sexual attraction to children view and experience sexual satisfaction and fulfilment. We hope to better understand how sexual satisfaction is (if at all) achieved and the impact this has on your wellbeing and different aspects of your life. You do not need to feel completely (or at all) sexually satisfied or fulfilled to take part – the research is focussed on your experiences and views around this as someone who is attracted to children and so all perspectives are welcomed.

Interviews are generally conducted via Microsoft Teams with no video – you do not have to register for an account to use this, you can be sent the link to join so you can remain anonymous if you wish to. We can also consider other interview methods if you would prefer. B4U-ACT is supporting a new study conducted by Étienne Garant, a PhD student at the Université de Montréal in Quebec, Canada. The study seeks to better understand the challenges minor-attracted people face in their daily lives, and how they navigate them.

Participation involves completing the questionnaire linked below, which includes questions about sexual interests, the participant’s life in general, and general life issues.
