The following message was provided by the Matt Portner, the researcher conducting this study:
My name is Matt Portner and I am a doctoral psychology student at Pacific University. Along with my dissertation chair, Leonardo Bobadilla, PhD., we have created a survey for a study approved by the Pacific University IRB entitled “Exploring Social Support, Sexual Self-Perception, and Personality Characteristics of Minor Attracted Persons”. This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and consists of questions about sexuality, personality traits, and social support systems. It is our hope that this information will be used to better serve people who are sexually and/or romantically attracted to children as well as better inform the general public regarding the beliefs and convictions of minor attracted persons who have never engaged in illegal sexual behavior involving children. You are invited to complete this survey if you have romantic and/or sexual attraction individuals 13 years old or younger. Also, you must be at least 18 years old. We appreciate your interest in participating.
