The following message was provided by the researchers:

Title: Anonymous survey for friends, family members, and partners of MAPs

Friends, family members, and partners of MAPs play an important role in their lives, but little is known about how these people experience having a relationship with somebody who is attracted to children. This survey will explore the experiences of MAPs’ friends, family members, and partners in relation to their experiences of disclosure, and their relationships with the MAP in their lives. It should take around 10-15 minutes to complete this survey. The research team is made up of Dr. Rebecca Lievesley, Dr. Craig Harper, Grace Mitchelmore, and Sarah Manley (all from Nottingham Trent University, UK).

MAPs are especially encouraged to forward this study link to any friends, family members, and partners that they have disclosed to.

The survey is completely anonymous. It does not ask for any identifiable information, it does not collect IP addresses and it can be accessed using a Tor browser. The link to the survey is below – the first page provides full information about the study and you can then choose whether or not to take part. If you have any questions please email the study lead on Rebecca.Lievesley@ntu.ac.uk. Please feel free to share or post elsewhere to increase the reach of this research.

B4U-ACT is supporting and collaborating on a new study with researchers from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in Nottingham, England. The research seeks to better understand attitudes and behaviors held by MAPs about attraction to children. If you are interested in participating, please see the description provided by the researchers below, or click the link below to access the survey.

This survey explores the beliefs held by MAPs about their attractions. Participants will be asked to complete a survey that will last for 15-20 minutes, and respond to a range of different questions about their identity, and beliefs about attractions to children. There are also questions about wellbeing, social relationships, and sexual behaviors. The research team is made up of Dr. Rebecca Lievesley (NTU), Dr. Craig Harper (NTU), Allen Bishop (B4U-ACT), and Alisha Awan (postgraduate researcher; NTU).

The survey is completely anonymous. It does not ask for any identifiable information, it does not collect IP addresses and it can be accessed using a Tor browser. Minor-attracted people are being asked to participate in research being led by Dr. Rebecca Lievesley and Dr. Craig Harper at Nottingham Trent University. Anyone over the age of 18 who self-identifies sexual and/or romantic attractions to children is eligible to take part.

The research involves completing a survey, which should take about 15 minutes. Potential participants can use access the survey using the link below:

The following additional information about the survey was provided by Dr. Craig Harper:

This survey explores the sexual and romantic attraction patterns of MAPs in relation to different age categories. With this work we will be looking at whether different features are associated with attractions to children at different stages of development. You will be asked about attraction levels to different groups, and whether different aspects of those groups contribute to feelings of attraction. We anticipate that the survey will take around 15 minutes to complete.

The survey is anonymous, it does not ask for any identifiable information, it does not collect IP addresses and it can be accessed using a Tor browser. The link to the survey is below – the first page provides full information about the study and you can then choose whether or not to take part. If you have any questions please email the study lead on Rebecca.Lievesley@ntu.ac.uk. Please feel free to share or post elsewhere.
