B4U-ACT Gives Volunteers the Love

Volunteers are the lifeblood of B4U-ACT, and this year the Board of Directors showed their gratitude with our first annual Volunteer Appreciation Hour. The lively party was held the afternoon before our two-day conference, with both conference and program volunteers attending for drinks, snacks and swag bags.

The Board was delighted to present the following awards:

The Shining Light Award – to AH, B4um moderator, for his consistent presence and empathic care for both B4um members and his fellow moderators.

The Unsung Hero Award – to SJ, MAP Support Volunteer, for quietly providing help and guidance to MAPs in need or in crisis.

The Walk Through A Storm Award  – to MI for years of dedication to the friends and families of MAPs in their need for hope and community.

The Great Sustainer Award – to RB, Emeritus Lead Moderator, for managing the ever-changing MAP forum with grace and intelligence.

The Helping Hand Award – to MH, Referral/Supervision Coordinator, for years of providing sanity and safety to MAPs seeking help.

The Passionate Voice Award – to AM, for dedication to the welfare of MAPs, expressed in passionate commitment and creativity.

The Dedicated Nerd Award – to IA, for dedication, flexibility and rigor as a reviewer and now editor for B4QR from the early days.

We hope to repeat this event yearly, so volunteer and stay tuned!
