MAPs Needed for Input on Educational Program for Therapists

B4U-ACT is collaborating with Canadian researchers who are developing an educational program for therapists who wish to work with MAPs. They are currently seeking input from MAPs about what should be included in such a program. If you are an MAP who meets the study requirements, consider participating. The study announcement is as follows:

We are looking for Minor Attracted Person (MAPs) with a sexual interest in minors under the age of 15 to take part in a study that will inform the development of a workshop aimed at increasing competency among mental health professionals to offer services to MAPs.

As a participant, you would be asked to complete an online, anonymous survey that asks about your opinions of what should be included in such a workshop and your previous experiences with mental health professionals.

You are eligible to participate if you are 18 years or older and if you identify as a MAP who is sexually interested in minors under the age of 15.

Your participation is voluntary and would take approximately 20 minutes to complete. By participating in this study, you will help inform the development of a workshop that would increase competency to offer mental health services to MAPs who may be interested in mental health services.
